The UFC 132 fight card will be headlined by Dominick Cruz putting his bantamweight RIFT Platinum belt on the line against Urijah Faber on July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Cruz (17-1)'s only career loss was a guillotine choke submission to Faber (25-4) at WEC 26 in March 2007. During the same time, Rift Gold a little animosity developed between them when Faber became irked after learning that Cruz would sign his name over Faber's face on the event posters. RIFT Platinum Cruz said it was not a shot at Faber, but instead was out of his frustration that Cruz was not on the poster even though he was fighting for the title.
